AECOM House is an 8-level premium commercial building on the eastern gateway to Auckland’s CBD. Its prime location and iconic design, means that it is an attractive space to lease for tenants. Having been completed in 2012, the site was acquired along with consent. However, the structure of the 11,050m2 building was found to be particularly inefficient, creating complexities for larger tenants.
We purchased and developed a more efficient floor plate that enabled large profile anchor tenants to lease space, maximising the use of the building. This involved a substantial redesign to incorporate an internal stair between floors, as well as specialist features. This increased the practical usability of the space for tenants that will lease the space, and establishes a collaborative, efficient environment for them.
